animalia.

So... seriously. Everyone has a tumblr. I do not have a tumblr. People say tumblr is addictive.

God. With my relationship to the internet I would "tumble" once and then forget about it, try and log back on and then a message would pop up telling me tumblr is now gone or something.

On the weekend I am going to the Zoo. I may post pictures... but don't hold your breath.......

Sorry to those who have been hanging out for an update. May you rest in peace!! I am aware that this is probably no-one. But if you are reading this and you are a friend, a bigh "hi" nonetheless.

Today I shared a lovely morning with friends- reinforcing that these holidays are pretty great! That is if you don't count the awful weather. It is so cold in my room- my wardrobe really may as well be full of PF (fml.)
This afternoon I have decided to reacquaint myself with my old BFF, youtube. I love the idea that you can watch videos of virtually anything. Throughout exams I craved youtube and endless hours spent watching Oscar acceptance speeches, movie trailers and random celebrities on the View. Today I watched parts of the Adams Family movies. I have a vivid memory of sitting at my cousin's house and LOLing (as much as a 5 year old can LOL) at Wednesday wearing black swimmers when everyone else was wearing orange/pink.

The idea of the American summer camp is interesting. I could never imagine a 3 month long summer until last year, when I first experienced it. When that much time passes things sometimes do seem different. I once went on a type of "summer camp". I was in year 4 or 5 and I went to a Sport and Recreation Camp in the middle of nowhere. It was really fun. It is strange to think how at 10 going to a camp where you know no-one seems like a great idea, but at 19 I would never do such a thing. I met some interesting people and have photos hugging "friends" with names I would have no idea of. They probably have photos of me.... strange (cue a monologue from One Tree Hill).
I also fenced at this camp- just call me Annie James or Hallie Parker... whichever you prefer.

Are scrunchies making a comeback? Wow.

pep,musch,anch

I just had some pizza for dinner, it was delicious. Upon googling 'pizza boy' amongst other, more inappropriate pictures I found this one of a pizza costume. It would be so cool to go to a party dressed as a pizza. I always find the idea of dress up parties so exciting, however I am always so lazy. If I ever have to go to a party dressed as something starting with P/New York themed I may consider this costume though....

In other news it is so cold here I have had to crack out the polar fleece. I never wear polar fleece. People have started calling me Lady GaGa.... yep, I seldom wear pants.

I better stop blogging, otherwise this will get mistaken for a tumblr.

"I'll be right here"

So I have been absent from the blogosphere for quite some time due to a missing camera cord. Well the cord has been located, so here I am. Blogger tells me I have not been here since January. In summation- I have done nothing (a sharp contrast to the ALP).
I am hoping that this blog may start to take a more sophisticated direction i.e. i looked over my archive and LOLed at myself. Due to living in a new world of poverty my op-shopping has increased at a rapid rate, so lock yourself in.

Because I have been too lazy to take any pictures I will share with you two photos of people that I find 'fashion forward'/well dressed/classy/ that i would like to steal their wardrobe etc. I have a theory that I do not belong in this time... I crave to live in a world that is black and white...

I am doing fun things tomorrow. Maybe you'll see some photos (actually of me) then.

Mary Wilkie from Manhattan. Although Mary was not as influential as Annie Hall, her corporate style is interesting* I do love a good blazer myself... also that hair is out of control (in a good way). I love that this movie is filmed in b&w, I love that the characters can make a living out of sporadic journalism and have the time to sit around seeing movies every day. I love that there is a dachshund and that they walk him in the park until the early morning. I admire the complexity yet simplicity of the characters. People find the relationship between Ike and Tracey strange... representative of Allen's life really.

Personal story- I own a copy of the Manhattan film poster, it hangs above my wall, above my Babooshka collection. I also own the script to Annie Hall (in book form) and some books about Woody Allen. Basically this paragraph is saying- "my friends are awesome!"

Joanna Kramer/possibly other random characters of Meryl Streep- Meryl Streep is now 61! As a hater of trench coats myself, I do love this. This movie is so adorable/sad. The 70's were quite an interesting time, this outfit isn't that interesting I just like it. Meryl Streep also appears in Manhattan.... interesting/fiesty role. I have seen nearly every Meryl Streep film.... maybe I will manage to watch the rest during the holidays...

Other interesting people/things include; Ally Sheedy, Stevie Nicks, MJ, Bowie, the Beatles and their wives, Patti Smith, the characters from Seinfeld (particularly Kramer), Kate Bush, Cher, the majority of seniors, dream catchers, pugs, Modern Family, toasted sandwiches, "Clueless", magazines, warmth, beatniks, Scrabble, Grandpa Joe, oreos, observation, quiz show hosts and punks.

* In the time that I did not blog I managed to replicate the "tennis outfit" from Annie Hall. It was met with great praise!! Randomly I also managed to dress as a cat on probably three separate ocassions, buy more mythical/witch like clothes during my Stevie Nicks phase, buy more sheer blouses, dress like a fan of the Bay City Rollers, do what seemed like 1000 assignments, kill enough trees doing said assignments to warrant being shot at dawn, remain pretty oblivious to the leadership spill, only finding out from a friend a time after the fact, buy a calculator watch, help my father celebrate his 50th, celebrate my own birthday (where funnily enough, I did not turn 50), nap, watch 3 and a bit seasons worth of Dawsons Creek, wish I were living with Jen, Jack and Grams, transfer my employment to a new place, doing the same thing, dream, dance etc.

All in all, it is good to be back.
